You can charge 30% as a Florida Unclaimed Money Finder.
However, you are required to register as either a private investigator, CPA, or, attorney.
That doesn’t mean you can’t make money in Florida as an Unclaimed Money Finder if you are not one of the above professions.
There is currently more than $2 billion in unclaimed property being held by the state of Florida. That’s $2 billion!
This is mostly from dormant accounts in financial institutions, insurance and utility companies, securities and trust holdings.
In addition to money and securities, unclaimed property includes tangible property such as:
•watches
•jewelry
•coins
•currency
•stamps
•historical items and other miscellaneous articles from abandoned safe deposit boxes.
That’s a lot of unclaimed money being held and a lot of people to contact. You have two choices in Florida if you are not a private investigator, CPA, or attorney, actually three now that I think about it:
1. You can become one of the above professions
2. You can look for unclaimed money in other states even if you live in Florida
3. You can partner with one of the above professions.
Let’s face it, private investigators, CPA’s, and attorneys are just like you and me. They want extra money just like you and me. So, if you are determined to search for unclaimed money in Florida (and why wouldn’t you with the amount of money unclaimed?), then the best thing to do is partner with one of the above professions.
Just give one of them a call, if you know one, that is even better. Let them know what you would like to do and see what they say. If one of them turns you down, move on to the next one. Eventually you will get someone that would like to work with you.
Florida makes it easy for them to work as unclaimed money finders.
They even have a link called registered locator login where they log in and manage information:
